Having been playing out for around 8 years from the age of 14,the styles and venues have been varied. The early years were mostly warehouse parties, which then progressed into playing at legal venues such as The Sanctuary, Milton Keynes, at the height of the Jungle/Drum and Bass era. Moving into producing was inevitable, so as Dj'ing took a back seat for a couple of years, making music was the prioity (aswell as being at school). As the production got better, contact was made with Reinforced Records,a long time respected label of his, and some early tunes were released in '96/97, first as Static Imprints, then as Sonar Circle. Also around this time, he began working closely with friends from school in a band, "The Collective Unconscious", who he sometimes collaborates with now on Sonar/Domu projects. This new perspective opened up another world from the Hip-Hop and Drum and Bass he was familiar with - the whole spectrum of Jazz-Funk and Latin Fusion became relevent.DJ work now began to crop up from the recognition of his production work with Reinforced, with a list of 12" releases, remixes and compilation tunes. Domu was created from the ashes of the experimentation that can be heard on "Radius",the first L.P from Sonar Circle, which could now envolve all these elements far more easily than was possible within the restrictions of the Drum and Bass mainframe. The first Domu 12" was released on 2000 Black in the summer of 99, and has been followed with releases on Archive and Skindeep records. This is modern day fusion, an ideal which spreads from his production work to his DJing, so that all influences may be represented within the spectrum of good music.
