From Göteborg, Sweden, comes The Movements, playing furious, frantic and beautyful music for a furious, frantic and beautyful crowd.
The band formed in 2001, and has since 2002 been playing clubs frequently in their hometown and in other towns in Sweden. Among those gigs The Movements have played support slots for classic acts such as Dick Dale, Electric Prunes and Träd, Gräs & Stenar.
In early summer 2004 The Movements released their first EP, a 10" vinyl piece called "Drag me up", released by German label Lonestar Records. The songs were produced by Björn Olsson (known from the brilliant acts Union Carbide Productions and later Soundtrack of our Lives). This cooperation has worked very well, and will continue.
Following up the release of the EP, The Movements have done tours down in Europe, playing in Germany, Denmark, Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria and Italy, with great response from people and media.
The full length album "Grains Of Oats" will be out end of October 2005, and there will be more tours throughout Europe.
To be continued...
